The copyleft and copyright have been arguing for many years over the rights of creativity over ownership. The documentary Rip: a Remix Manifesto is an exploration in to the world of the mash-up artist and image liberators who use copyrighted material to express their creativity.

The not so original mouse, is a reference to Disney’s strong handed approach to people using their imagery. The poster depicts the original Mickey Mouse character alongside characters that all pre date its creation, highlighting certain aspects of each that could be seen as copied.

The original mash up master, highlights the fact Mash-ups existed before copyright law was introduced. The person depicted in the poster is Francisco De Penalosa who created hybrid fables out of other writers works in the 13th century.
